On Valentine’s Day, UUP leaders and advocates will be in Albany to show some love for SUNY—and we want you with us.
UUP members will be in the capital city that day for a union advocacy effort called “Love Your SUNY. On Tuesday, Feb. 14, members will gather in the morning at the Empire State Plaza to begin a daylong show of support for full funding to SUNY.
Advocates will meet with lawmakers to tell them how important SUNY is to their students, their campus communities and all New Yorkers—and how necessary it is for the state to fully fund SUNY in the 2023-24 state budget.
It’s easy to register. All you have to do is click HERE.
And everyone who takes part in the event will get a free UUP t-shirt. Click HERE to see what it looks like.
“This year we must rally with our allies and partners across New York to fight for more,” said UUP President Fred Kowal, who will be at the Love Your SUNY event. “We will push for legislation that honors and supports our labor and provides the funding that is critically needed to continue the life-changing work of our members on behalf of students and patients across the state. We need your help in this advocacy.”
