Day of Action Interview and Press Conference

UUP President Fred Kowal will be a guest Monday, Dec. 9, on “The Capitol Pressroom,” the daily one-hour public affairs program based at the state Capitol that airs on public radio stations statewide.

The program begins at 11 a.m. Fred and NYSUT Vice President Maria Neira are scheduled to speak live between 11:20 and 11:40a.m. You can hear the program via a live stream at http://www.wcny.org/radio/capitolpressroom. That link will be available today via UUP’s website, at http://www.uupinfo.org.

Fred and Maria will discuss the “National Day of Action to Reclaim the Promise of Public Education,” a coordinated public action by community and union partners in cities across the country to demand a greater investment in public schools and higher education.

The live interview with Fred and Maria takes place prior to a noon news conference at the Capitol, where both will speak. UUP leaders in Binghamton, Buffalo and Syracuse will also take part in National Day of Action press conferences.
