Yesterday Fred Kowal sent out this message regarding the contract. I apologize for any duplication of emails, but wanted everyone to see this message. There are good feelings that we are nearing the end of contract negotiations. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and continue to send warm thoughts to our colleagues serving on the negotiations committee.

We’re in what we hope will be the final stretch of negotiations for a new contract. A new Negotiations Bulletin is now available on UUP’s Members’ Only website. In it we detail the recent progress at the table as well as those places where we continue to press the State to meet our demands on priority issues. We remain cautiously optimistic about a strong, on-time contract.
Remember, to vote on contract ratification you need to be a UUP member before a Tentative Agreement is reached (perhaps as soon as next week or the following). If you have not already done so, please sign a UUP membership card now.
