Colleagues,
I would like to bring to your attention that University Police will be hosting a Town Hall on October 28, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm in Diefendorf Hall on the South Campus. This event is intended to provide students, staff, and faculty with an opportunity to share their public safety concerns directly with University Police.
We encourage anyone with concerns or opinions regarding the recent announcement about the installation of FLOCK cameras on campus to attend and make their voice heard during this session.
Two documents I want to bring to your attention. The first is a resolution adopted by UUP Statewide Delegates outlining our position on FLOCK cameras. The second is a resolution passed by the UB Faculty Senate. We hope these materials will help inform the discussion and encourage meaningful participation at the Town Hall.
In solidarity,
Kat Kielar
UUP Buffalo Center Chapter President
