Dear Members,
I want to share an important update regarding our UUP office operations and staffing for the coming months.
Due to limited staffing, our office will be operating virtually only until further notice. We will not be holding in‑person meetings during this period. Our virtual office hours will be:
- Wednesdays and Thursdays: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Fridays: 7:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
With reduced office staff until the end of December our response times may be slower than usual. We kindly ask that all questions, concerns, and requests be directed to buffalocenter@uupmail.org. We will address your messages as promptly as we can within our limited hours.
We often get common inquires that come in via the phone that we have to refer members to other offices. Please keep the following nearby:
- UUP Dental/Vision plans, insurances and supplemental benefits are encouraged to call the UUP Benefits Office at 1-800-887-3863 or benefits@uupmail.org.
- Any Health Insurance, payroll, or HR questions need to go through HR. We do not have access to employee records/data. They can be reached at 716-645-7777 or ub-hr@buffalo.edu
- For those looking for information on Retirement, should check the UUP Central Website for pre-retirement workshops (Part 1 and Part 2). Specific program information can also be found on the UUP Retirees page.
- Tuition Waivers (UUP Tuition Waiver and the SUNY B-140 Waiver) are on the UB Student Accounts website.
Members and retirees still are welcome to call the office phone at 716-276-3377, but please understand that answering the phone/messages will be limited to the virtual office hours.
