Dear Colleagues,
For as long as anyone can remember, members of both UUP UB Chapters – the Center Chapter and HSC Chapter – have been allowed to access the Clark Gym and/or Alumni Arena for free. While access was free and without cost, it was limited to two, one-hour time periods per day – 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and noon to 1:00 p.m.
Recently, a small number of members have reported to the Chapter that UB is attempting to eliminate free access to these athletic facilities. We are now attempting to ascertain the scope of the problem to inform possible next steps.
- If you have historically accessed either of these athletic facilities for free and would be willing to share you experience with the Chapter, and/or
- If you have historically accessed either of these athletic facilities for free but have now been told you cannot access them without paying a monthly fee, and/or
- In response to being told you can no longer access these athletic facilities for free you chose to begin paying a monthly fee,
