Please see the following from UUP Statewide President, Fred Kowal concerning the recently approved New York State Budget
“After a delay of several weeks, we have a New York State budget. As discussed on the call today, UUP was quite successful in achieving some of our major goals. Foremost among these successes, is of course, the Legislature’s rejection of SUNY’s plan to close Downstate. But we also were able to garner more operating funds for the campuses where we work.
I want to thank you and all those from your chapters who took a role through advocacy in making these successes possible.”
