Attention Veterans – PACT Act Information Session

Dear Veteran Colleagues,

Were you exposed to toxins during your service?

VA will host a PACT Act information and enrollment event for PACT Act PACT-eligible veterans and their families on:

Wednesday, February 28th
3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
330 Student Union

Representatives from Veterans Affairs, New York State, and other Veteran service organizations will be on hand to assist Veterans in determining eligibility and enrollment under new PACT Act legislation.

The Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act or PACT Act is the most significant expansion of Veteran health care and benefits in more than three decades, empowering VA to help millions of toxic exposed Veterans and their survivors. Since President Biden signed the PACT Act into law on August 10, 2022, hundreds of thousands of PACT Act-related claims for benefits have been submitted. Additionally, more than 1 million Veterans have received VA’s new toxic exposure screenings, with nearly 39% reporting a concern of exposure.

From the moment the PACT Act was signed into law last August, VA’s priority has been getting Veterans the benefits they deserve as quickly as possible. For more information about PACT Act and how to file a claim, visit va.gov/PACT.
