Update to Retirement Plan Investment Providers On January 24, 2017, the State University of New York (SUNY) Board of Trustees voted to terminate MetLife as an approved carrier for both the SUNY Optional Retirement Program (ORP) and SUNY’s 403(b) Program. At the Fall 2016 Delegate Assembly, a constitutional amendment was passed by the body that requires all chapters to have an elected OFFICER for RETIREES by JUNE 1, 2017. The Lou Cammarosano Award was presented to the Stony Brook HSC Chapter of UUP by NYSUT in recognition of the chapter’s outstanding Improvement and Leadership during the calendar year. Only one other UUP Chapter, Upstate Medical Center, received this award this year. A plaque was presented which is displayed proudly in our chapter office.
