LRS Chris Sielaff will give a presentation about the Benefits of the new UUP agreement. The workshop will cover Compensation, Health insurance, Working Conditions and Benefits and Protections
Retirees Brunch:
The retirees’ brunch will take place on Thursday, October 22nd from 10:30am to 2:00pm. It will be held at the CNY Living History Museum on route 11 in Cortland. The presenter is John Gurche, a renowned American Paleo artist.
Delegate Assembly:
The Fall UUP Delegate Assembly is on October 9th & 10th at the Albany Hilton in Albany, NY.
Campus Equity Week:
On Wednesday, October 28th at 12:00pm we will hold a combination Union Matters/ Contingent faculty forum. Please rsvp or email to Cortland@uupmail.org. Celebrate the diverse work of our contingent faculty and professionals from October 20th through October 31st.
AFSP Charity Hockey game:
The game takes place on Friday, November 6th. It starts at 7:00pm.

To attend one of the virtual Members Only Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Clinics, you must pre-register here: http://go.aft.org/StudentDebtClinicRSVP. From the “student debt clinic” drop down menu, please select the UUP clinic that you are interested in attending – they are labeled “UUP [Virtual Student Debt Clinic] [date] [time].” In the affiliate field, type in the full name of our local (United University Professions), and it will autofill after a few keystrokes.

- We are excited for another new academic year, and we welcome all our new students and employees to campus!
- We hope to continue collaborating on future reception opportunities for the opening meeting. We were impressed with the turnout!

- Updates on the status of the Vice President for Finance and Management, and the Associate Vice President of Human Resources.
- Gray DI consultation and recommendations
- United University Professions reminds the campus back when UUP and Administration last discussed the consulting agencies’ charge; it was narrowly defined as a charge of finding areas of growth and revenue generation; it did not include recommendations of cost reduction or staffing cuts. Is this still the case?
- Will the consulting firm continue to only give recommendations for growth and not recommend any areas of savings/reduction?
- When is the next planned meeting/training scheduled for Gray DI to review the financial dashboard components?
- What are the expectations for how the dashboard is being utilized by:
- Departments
- Chairs
- Deans
