Appointed Positions
Grievance Officer for Academics
5.2.5 The Grievance Officers shall be responsible for assisting members of the bargaining unit in the categories they represent with the processing of grievances and related issues, shall report to the Chapter, the Chapter Board, and the Chapter President, as appropriate, and shall make recommendations to the Chapter Board
Works closely with the Chapter’s Labor Relations Specialist and the VP for Academics

Outreach – Political Action/Outreache/VOTE cope (includes standing committee)
Responsible for Outreach Committee (Standing Committee)
Is responsible for monitoring, developing and communicating all political aspects of the Chapter; including political outreach, advocacy, and spearheading Chapter efforts with regards to VOTE-COPE.
Develop, maintain, and communicate with members through the “non-edu” list.
Works closely with the Statewide Political Outreach and Advocacy program.
Membership Officer (includes Standing Committee)
5.2.9 The Membership Development Officer shall be responsible for supervising programs to expand and strengthen the Chapter membership.
Responsible for Membership Committee (Standing Committee)
Works closely with Chapter Professional Organizer.
Assists with the development and presentation of New Member Orientations.
Responsible for running membership reports generated in the CRM.
Responsible for directing membership initiatives.
Works closely with Officers, Officer of Contingents, and UUP Central on these initiatives.
Communications Officer (includes Ad Hoc Committee)
5.2.8 The Communications Officers shall be responsible for Chapter publications in accordance with policies and guidelines established for such publications and shall ensure adequate and accurate exchanges of information between the membership and the Chapter Board in cooperation with the Vice Presidents for Academics and Professionals
Is responsible for the development and maintenance of Chapter Web Page, and Social Media (Facebook, twitter, Instagram, etc.)
Assists with the development of the Chapters newsletter, Monday Morning Post, and similar communications of notice to the membership.
