Dear Colleagues,
Your UUP Buffalo Center Chapter is partnering with our colleagues at UUP Buffalo State and the UUP Buffalo Health Sciences Chapter to walk in the 2025 Buffalo Pride Parade!
We need YOU to step up and join us in supporting one of Buffalo’s biggest parades on Sunday, June 1!
Members interested in participating in the parade should RSVP here no later than Tuesday, May 27th, so that we may have an accurate number of individuals to expect.
Family, friends and guests are invited!
Here are some important details for those planning to attend:
We expect individuals who can participate to arrive to the parade lineup no later than 10 am. The parade starts at 11 am. Individuals arriving after 10:30 am will not be able to participate in the parade.
Ryan Taughrin (UUP Buffalo Center Chapter’s Outreach Coordinator) will be sending details leading up to the event about where to meet him, arrival details, etc.
UUP will be walking in the parade; it is about 2 miles of walking from lineup to the end of the parade. The parade travels south on Elmwood Avenue starting at Forest Avenue and ending at Allen Street. The block of Elmwood Avenue between Allen Street and Virginia Street will be closed to traffic; floats and marchers will be able to disassemble in this area. You will be responsible for getting back to the Buffalo State University campus at the conclusion of the parade.
Participants are encouraged to wear their UUP shirts along with their favorite pride attire, the flashier the better.
We will have pride flags for participants as well as other UUP swag to proudly waive as part of this year’s event.
