This message is a reminder that the deadline for submissions for the 2nd round of IDA awards for the 20-21 FY is April 16th.
The guidelines that applied to the first round are still in effect. The eligibility of reimbursement has not changed.

Dear Colleagues,
The Buffalo Center UUP IDA Committee has identified that there are over $80,000 of unused funds. We would like to give members a second opportunity to submit for award reimbursement. This is a 2nd call/round of submissions. The timeline we can expect is as follows:
3/29/21 – Announce 2nd round for new submissions
4/16/21 – Return applications by close of business.
4/16/21 through 4/30/21 IDA committee evaluate applications and recommend award.
4/30/21 through 5/7/21 – HR processes award documentation and submit to Governor’s Office of Employee Relations (GOER) for approval.
5/??/21 – GOER returns approval and HR sends award and rejection letters.
As a reminder
- Funds are allocated for activity between for activity between July 2, 2020 and July 1, 2021.
- Award Amount: $1,000 maximum per award period. Employees may only be funded for one project or activity per award period. This is a reimbursement program.
- Should an individual receive an award, it must be a direct payment to the award recipient and may no longer be processed through an Inter-Departmental Invoice (IDI)
- Types of support available:
- Registration fees for conferences or workshops
- Travel and related expenses (includes lodging and meals)
- Tuition at the maximum allowable SUNY rate at the time of application
