Don’t Forget!
On the bottom right corner of your timesheet, don’t forget to give yourself earned holiday time if you worked Election and Veterans’ Days. Add a “1” in the “Earned Amount” column if you worked those days. Election Day is considered a Floater Day, while Veteran’s Day will appear as a Regular Holiday. These days only hang around for one year after you earn them, so consider taking them before you use vacation days.
The day after Thanksgiving is not a holiday. Although the university is officially open, only essential services will be maintained. Employees do not work should charge the day to available leave credits (excluding sick leave). The President has designated that Election Day can be used the day after Thanksgiving.
