Dear Colleagues,
In celebration of May Day, (also known as International Workers’ Day or Labor Day in many countries), the UUP Buffalo Center Chapter will be having its May 1 Social Hour at the UB Anderson Art Gallery — 1 Martha Jackson Place, Buffalo, NY, 14214 — from 4–6pm.
The Gallery is currently hosting the exhibition “From the Vault: Staff Selections from the Collection” and they have put together a small offering for UUP and other unions on campus.
One of their curators, Emily Reynolds, selected portion of the work on display to revolve around themes of labor and work, drawing attention to the Gallery as a site of labor.
They would like to offer an opportunity for us to join them and have a chance to view the exhibition and discuss the works on display with some of the staff who curated the show.
Light refreshments will be made available.
