Your UUP Buffalo Center Chapter is a part of a greater group on campus – The Campus Governance Leadership Group. This group consists of all associated university groups which share common concerns and issues with the university.
This group is requesting the following information from you.
In ongoing efforts to improve employee work environments, we’re asking for your voice on the topic of workplace civility. To feel confident in sharing honest and authentic feedback, this survey will be anonymous, unless you choose to provide specific self-identifying information to us. This survey is administered by UUP Buffalo Center Chapter. We are working with our Campus Governance partners to ensure delivery is as widespread across the university as possible. We want to thank our Campus Governance partners CSEA, GSEU, GSA, Professional Staff Senate, UUP Health Sciences, and the Student Association for their advice and support. We apologize for any cross posting that may have occurred as a result of the distribution of the survey being distributed through our various organizations. We hope you understand and complete the survey just once. If you know of someone who had not received the survey, please feel free to share this email with them.
The survey instrument selected is called the Negative Acts Questionnaire-Revised and is a 22-Item measure of exposure to bullying in the workplace. The measure covers three underlying factors: personal bullying, work-related bullying, and physically intimidating forms of bullying. It has been widely used to measure bullying across the world through numerous types of organizations, including Higher Education. It has proven track record of being a highly valid and reliable instrument. It has been modified it to include demographic information unique to UB.
Please be assured your responses will be kept confidential and the aggregate results of the survey will be shared with the respective campus governance groups only.
