Free Premium Calm Subscription
NYSUT Member Benefits is pleased to offer the premium Calm subscription as a free benefit for all NYSUT in-service AND retiree members.
The premium Calm subscription provides members with unlimited access to the full library of content at calm.com and in the Calm app, which can be utilized via a desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile device (iOS or Android).
Members can add up to five dependents (age 16 or older) to receive their own premium Calm subscription. Dependents can only be added through the calm.com site (not the Calm app); dependents will then receive their own premium Calm subscription.
Visit this link to create a Calm account now (this is a dedicated URL for NYSUT members).
- You will need your NYSUT ID number to create an account with your preferred email address and a password using the dedicated URL above. Note: Your NYSUT ID number can be found on your NYSUT Membership Card or by visiting the following link.
- Once you create a free Calm account on a web browser using the URL above, you will want to download the Calm app for your iOS or Android device.
- After downloading the Calm app for your preferred device, you can then log in with your email address and password to unlock the premium Calm content for free.

MetLife Legal Plans
UUP members can enroll to receive easy access to legal counsel for many legal matters with no additional fee. The plan provides:
- Access to legal advice and representation from a network of vetted attorneys

MetLife Group Universal Life Insurance
UUP members have the opportunity to enroll in Group Universal Life Insurance at any time during the year.
MetLife Group Universal Life Insurance (member paid) options includes :
- Member coverage: $25,000 – $1,200,000 in $25,000 increments is available with an online Statement of Health.
- Spouse/Domestic Partner coverage: $10,000 – $50,000 in $10,000 increments is available with Statement of Health (available as a term rider to the member’s coverage).
- Dependent Child coverage: $5,000 or $10,000 coverage (available on a guaranteed issue basis and as a term rider to the member’s coverage).

MetLife + AURA Identity and Fraud Protection
UUP members can now take advantage of identity and fraud protection through MetLife and AURA.
The program, which carries a monthly fee, provides identity theft protection, financial fraud protection, and privacy and device protection to participants.
Two plans—an individual plan and a family plan—are available. The individual plan costs $7.95 per month. The family plan, which extends protections for up to 10 adults and an unlimited number of dependents under age 18, is $11.95 per month.
Online payment options are monthly by credit card, debit card, Apple Pay or PayPal. Once your payment method is on file, it will automatically deduct your monthly payment.
