Please see the following from the university’s Human Resources Department:
New York State has announced a new Paid Parental Leave (PPL) benefit for State Professional (UUP) employees effective 4/11/23.
Paid Parental Leave (PPL) provides eligible UUP employees up to 12 weeks of paid leave for one of the following qualifying events occurring within a 12-month period:
- Birth of a child
- Adoption of a child
- Foster care placement
