Employee COVID Testing

Dear Colleagues,

As COVID discussions throughout the country and here at home continue around the various aspects of vaccinations and masking, an individual’s personal decision on compliance is not just recognized as your personal decision, but also a decision that affects those around you.

The testing Memorandum of Agreement between UUP and SUNY (attached) requires all employees to either share proof of vaccination or submit to weekly testing. There is no discretion in this Agreement. Employees can voluntarily share proof of their vaccination status, or they must submit to weekly testing (unless they are 100% remote).

UB is aware of who has uploaded proof, so that they are removed from the mandatory weekly testing pool.

UUP supports vaccinations and encourages our members to get vaccinated.

If you have not uploaded proof of vaccination, please immediately start attending weekly pool testing.

UB HR has advised us that they may pursue disciplinary action against those who fail to comply with the memorandum.
