Despite a long weekend of advocacy, there still is no final New York State budget, though some parts of it are settling into place. We hope to have a full analysis to share with you by the end of the week.
In the meantime, I wanted to make sure one important message was delivered to you and to all UUP members:
Despite the news reports about the delayed budgets impacting state worker paychecks this week, please rest assured: SUNY is not impacted by this. Our fiscal year starts on July 1, so a late budget will have no impact on us. Our paychecks will arrive as they normally do, without delay.
