Colleagues:
Recently your Buffalo Center Chapter of UUP has seen success in reestablishing our Chapter Health and Safety Committee due to member interest. The Buffalo Center Chapter would like to do the same with reestablishing local Chapter committees that appear within Statewide UUP.
These include:
1. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion works to implement affirmative action goals within the Chapter. They work to implement equal opportunity goals within the Chapter and aid members in their pursuit of equal opportunity goals.
2. Black and Latino Faculty/Staff Concerns Committee
This committee focuses on setting goals for Black and Latino Faculty/Staff of the Chapter. They explore ways to enhance system-wide Black and Hispanic student life initiatives and create a process for mentoring Black and Hispanic members of the Chapter.
3. SOUL Committee
The SOUL committee is comprised of Chapter members focusing on issues affecting all aspects of the LGBTQ community.
This call to action to you to see if you are interested in participating in reestablishing these committees at our local Buffalo Center Chapter Level.
