When employees change jobs, where they are going will determine how much notification they need to provide to their supervisor. If an employees leaves their current position and accepts a position in another unit within the University, it is considered a transfer. In this situation, employees do not need to provide a specified amount of notification that they are changing positions. It is, however, customary to provide at least a two (2) week notice. For employees who intend to leave the employ of the shall give 30 days’ notice to the chief administrative officers or the chief administrative officer’s representative. In the event that an employee fails to provide the full 30 days’ notice, it shall be within the discretion of the chief administrative officer or the chief administrative officer’s representative to withhold from such employee’s final check an amount equal to the employee’s daily rate of pay for each day less than the required 30 days.
