Dear Colleagues,
In follow up to the Parking and Transportation Open Forums held earlier this semester, your UUP Buffalo Center has received the following information regarding some of the short term solutions identified:
- The South Campus on demand shuttle has been operating on an earlier schedule, starting at 8:30am. Use of the shuttle remains low, only 10 rides since November 1.
- A call-in option vs. the app has been implemented, 716-645-3943.
- Messaging has been increased to encourage use.
- Speed/safety concerns within parking lots has been addressed in certain lots (added “slow with 5mph sandwich board signs and have ordered more permanent speed signs to place at the entrance of lots. Also, advised University Police so that they can keep eye on).
- Diefendorf will continue to be monitored, to assess additional need. Sherman lot remains a viable alternative.
