Over the last several months, your Buffalo Center Chapter Leadership Team has been encouraging you to consider becoming an active member of this outstanding UUP Buffalo Center Chapter Leadership Team!
NOW IS THE TIME TO ‘STEP UP” and nominate yourself for one of the many Buffalo Center Chapter Leadership positions that will be voted on later this semester.
The first, and most crucial step, in the Chapter Elections process is now open with Nominations.
This Nomination process is scheduled to CLOSE Friday, February 14th.
Your nomination form will be based on your Member classification (Academic or Professional), and this is a 2 year term from June 1, 2025 – May 31, 2027.
Nomination forms were sent out to your homes this week.
You may also nominate yourself on-line. Please see the attached for instructions on how to complete this process.
You may nominate yourself for the following Chapter positions:
President
Academic/Professional Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Officer for Contingents
Academic/Professional Delegate (includes Chapter Board Member Position)
Officer for Retirees
Diversity Equity and Inclusion Officer
You may also nominate yourself to be a delegate for either NYSUT (New York State United Teachers) or AFT (American Federation of Teachers).
I would like to remind everyone that if you wish to become a Chapter Board Member, please nominate yourself in the Academic/Professional Delegate category.
I would also like to remind everyone that we are looking forward to an increase in Faculty Member representation on this Leadership Team.
