Your Buffalo Center Chapter is proud to help promote the upcoming free concert by the Paris Island Marine Corps Rock band “Iron Mic”.
The Department of Music and the Office of Student Life will present “Iron Mic,” the Parris Island Marine Band’s rock band, in concert at 7 p.m. Feb. 18 in Lippes Concert Hall in Slee Hall, North Campus.
The concert is free, but a ticket is required for admission. Tickets will be available at the Center for the Arts box office from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. The “Iron Mic” Rock Band is an ensemble of Marines who perform various styles of music, including rock, country, pop, funk, R&B, 80s and many more.
“Iron Mic” is the newest small ensemble from the Parris Island Marine Band, based out of Parris Island, S.C. It typically appears at most concerts put on by the Parris Island Marine Band, and also performs at public events around the Beaufort and Bluffton areas near the Parris Island base.
Patrons are reminded that current UB health and safety protocols require that all attendees over the age of 5 must show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 and wear a mask while inside any university buildings.
