*****Public Loan Forgiveness Clinics*****
We will be offering virtual Members Only Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Clinics on the following dates:

Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM via Zoom

Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM via Zoom

To attend one of the virtual Members Only Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Clinics, you must pre-register here: http://go.aft.org/StudentDebtClinicRSVP. From the “student debt clinic” drop down menu, please select the UUP clinic that you are interested in attending – they are labeled “UUP [Virtual Student Debt Clinic] [date] [time].” In the affiliate field, type in the full name of our local (United University Professions), and it will autofill after a few keystrokes. 

Registration is first-come, first-serve, and we must cap attendance for a single clinic at 125 participants to ensure that we are able to provide maximum assistance to attendees. Registration will close 48 hours prior to the virtual clinic.

We have added an additional “UUP 101” webinar for those who have been unable to attend previous workshops. This workshop will cover UUP’s structure, who we are, who we represent, what we do, and our role in the larger labor movement.

Student Teacher Supervisors Virtual Meeting: This virtual meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 12^th at 3:00pm.  Please register at Cortland@uupmail.org and a link will be sent to you.

HOLIDAY GATHERING: Will take place on Friday, December 5^th from 4:00pm to 7:00 pm.  It will be in the Hall of Fame room in Park Center. RSVP’s will be needed by Monday, November 17^th.

UUP Office Hours: On Veteran’s Day, November 11^th, the office will be closed.

UUP Office Closed: The UUP will be closed on November 27 & 28 for Thanksgiving break.

Holiday Food Drive: Our UUP holiday food drive will be taking place this holiday season.  Be on the lookout for a drop-off box location near you!

1. a) an introduction to the basic mechanisms the union provides for addressing professional conflicts and
2. b) an open discussion of our concerns right now as contingents at SUNY Cortland. Bring your questions and experiences.

Our union is the only campus entity that advocates for contingents as employees, provides political and social forums for their development as workplace unionists, and advances their interests at the bargaining table when contracts are negotiated.

UUP is the closest thing to a professional association for contingents at the university, and it is the privileged vehicle for addressing and resolving contingent workplace concerns.
