Karen Dombrowski, a UUP Benefit Trust Fund representative since 2003, has been promoted to the position of member benefits supervisor.

Her promotion took effect Feb. 1.

“Karen has extensive knowledge of the UUP Benefit Trust Fund, as well as prior supervisory experience,” said Doreen Bango, Member Benefits manager and Benefit Trust Fund administrator. “Her background in customer service and her understanding of the union’s medical, dental and vision programs make her a perfect fit for the job. I’m confident she will continue to serve the UUP membership well.”

Dombrowski now assists in supervising the daily functions of the Benefit Trust Fund.

Prior to coming to UUP, Dombrowski worked for nearly a decade as a human resources manager at Virogenetics Corporation in Troy, N.Y. She created the human resources department at Virogenetics, where she was also a member of the senior management team that directed operations and oversaw benefits administration, including the company’s 401(k), health and dental plans.
