Intern on board: UUP hires assistant in research, legislation

UUP has hired one of its former legislative interns to serve as the union’s research and legislation assistant.

Michelle Carr, a candidate for a master’s degree in public affairs and policy at UAlbany’s Rockefeller College, will use her writing, research and computer skills to help the union advance its legislative and research programs.

Prior to serving as UUP’s legislative intern for20 hours a week, Carr worked as a junior organizer with the Working Families Party in Albany.

She earned her undergraduate degree in history from Wells College in Aurora, N.Y.
