UUPers Patricia Bentley of SUNY Plattsburgh and Lionel Lewis of SUNY Buffalo were elected to serve on the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) national council, during AAUP’s annual convention in June.

The 41-member council meets twice a year to set AAUP policy.

Council members are elected from 10 geographical districts representing colleges and universities in the U.S., Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

Terms are for three years.
