While UUP has not directly consulted with Management at the Chapter level in creating the SUNY Cortland Open Access Policy, we are gratified to learn they have accepted UUP’s position that any Open Access policy should exist entirely as an opt-in program, rather than an opt-out program; additionally, UUP appreciates that participation is not in any way required of the faculty at Cortland.

If UUP Cortland does have questions about the implementation of the policy, we will work with management in the appropriate forum to address these questions and concerns.
