Labor/Management Committees

• Affirmative Action Grants Program: The deadline for the Dr. Nuala McGann Drescher Leave Program is Feb. 2, 2009, for leaves commencing fall 2009 or spring 2010; the deadline for the Employee with Disabilities Program is at least 45 days before the project or activity begins.

• Professional Development Grants Program: The deadlines for the Individual Development Awards Program are set by each chapter-based committee; the deadline for Calendar Year Employee Leave is April 1 for leaves commencing July 1 or later, or Aug. 1 for leaves commencing Jan. 1 or later.

• Employment; Technology; Safety and Health; and Campus Grants programs: A program evaluation must be submitted within 30 days of completing the project or activity. If the funded project or activity has already been completed at the time of the award, the evaluation must be completed within 30 days of the award notification.

Applications for these grants are reviewed as received.

Benefit Trust Fund

• UUP?Dependent Scholarship Program: Applications must be postmarked within 60 days from the last day of the semester for which the dependent is applying.

• Option Transfer Period: The deadline to switch among insurance carriers is 30 days after the rates are determined by the state Department of Civil Service in concert with insurance carriers.
