UUP members from Stony Brook HSC join forces with cancer survivors and the community to raise money for prostate and breast cancer research at the health sciences center. Taking part in the 15th Annual “Walk for Beauty, Walk for Life,” from left, are UUPers Carol Gizzi, Irene Stern, Mike Bonvento, Marge Bryan, Jennifer Coppola, Phil Tarantino and Kathy Southerton. The historic walk through Stony Brook has raised more than $800,000 since its inception. Proceeds have also financed state-of-the-art cancer detection equipment, as well as wigs and other quality-of-life items for patients with minimal financial resources.
