Delegates will attend meetings, hear committee reports and debate resolutions and one constitutional amendment during the union’s 2007 Winter Delegate Assembly (DA) Feb. 9-10 in Albany.

The proposed amendment asks delegates to update the charge to and description of the Part-time Concerns Committee to better reflect its goals.

New York State AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Paul Cole is tentatively slated to address the DA. In addition to his work with the state labor federation, Cole is an AFT vice president and executive director of the American Labor Studies Center in Troy.

UUP will honor David Richter with its 2007 Friend of SUNY Award. A former SUNY provost, Richter has been active in New York state budget and finance for the last 30 years.
