On Wednesday, April 14th at 11:45, there will be a virtual panel featuring UUP’s own Fred Kowal (amongst other guests including Senator Sheldon Whitehouse) , which you can register for here, about the Supreme Court and the recent extremist changes that have been made in the last year, their overruling of long-established precedents, and what can be done for advocating for preventing future extremist rulings.

The next online statewide pre-retirement workshop will take place on April 10th and April 12th from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M.. If you would like to register for it, please click here. As usual, the first workshop will cover healthcare, and the second part will cover vision and dental benefits, and you can always sign up for one or both.

Yoga Classes
Registration for the virtual yoga classes exclusively for UUP members is open now. The classes are $12 each, which you can sign up here. Please see the flyer below for more information.
On April 4th at 12:00 P.M., there will be an online academic panel for any UUP academic members who are interested in attending.
On February 24th at 12:00 PM, UUP will be hosting a diversity, equity, and inclusion virtual meeting on zoom. All UUP members are invited to attend the discussion.

If you have been having trouble scheduling workshops during the semester due to classes or office hours, there are a few virtual workshops to sign up for during the break.
The first clinic of 2023 (Student Loan Forgiveness) will be on January 4th from 5:00 to 6:30 P.M., which if you are interested, you can click here to sign up for.
If you’re interested in January’s pre-retirement clinics, you can click here to register for either or both of the pre-retirement workshops. The first workshop will be on January 9th from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. and the second workshop will take place on January 12th from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Virtual Town Halls
Two virtual town halls about the status of UUP’s negotiating contract exclusive to UUP members are coming up if you are interested in attending. They will take place October 3rd and October 7th at 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, respectively.
