UUP will be offering 10 different workshops starting in the new year for those interested in learning more about organizing and building a stronger union. The first course will take place on January 8th, and continue throughout the spring semester. On October 25th at 12:00 P.M., there will be a virtual panel, which you can register for here, to discuss mental health concerns and challenges that higher education faces today. It will take place via Zoom, and you will receive a link to attend after registering.

On Monday, September 25th at 7:00 P.M. there will be a virtual seminar featuring Marcella Chiromo discussing microaggressions in the workplace. You can register here if you are interested in signing up.
There are also 2 other dates to register, October 26th and November 29th if you can’t make it on Monday at 7:00 P.M.
Just a reminder that today at 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. is the latest student debt clinic, which if you haven’t, you can register last minute here.

The state-wide pre-retirement workshops will take place on August 29th and August 31st, both of which will take place from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. As usual, if you have any questions, please submit them to retirement coordinator Walter Apple by August 25th.
If you couldn’t attend any of the virtual student debt clinics throughout the schoolyear, there are some coming up during the summer. You can register for the clinics here.
The next virtual debt clinic will be on June 7th at 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
The following clinic will take place on June 21st at 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.
After that, there will be another clinic on July 5th from 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
On May 24th, there will be a virtual panel free for all UUP members regarding mental health on campuses.
The next pre-retirement workshop will take place on May 8th (which will cover healthcare) from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. and May 10th (which will cover dental and vision) from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.
