Contract Passed
The vote for the ratification of the tentative UUP contract has been passed in favor 14,900 to 556. Thank you to all those that voted.

Voting for Tentative Contract Underway
Active members of UUP, who were members in good standing as of June 7, 2023 (the date the State/UUP tentative agreement was reached), are eligible to vote.
Emails went out on Thursday Aug. 10 with the subject line “Vote now: UUP – 2022-2026 State/UUP Tentative Agreement.” That email includes a link to an online elections system, administered by MK Election Services, and an individualized access code that will allow you to vote.
All eligible members of UUP were also sent a postcard mailer to their home address with the same voting instructions and access code.
If you believe you are eligible to vote and you have not received an email, please search your spam folder and other filtered folders.
If you believe you are eligible to vote and have not received either an e-mail or a post card with voting instructions and your access code by Aug. 17, please call MK Election Services at 203-403-8401 or email uupcontract@mkelections.com.
Electronic voting will close at 5:00 PM on Aug. 24, 2023. The results of the ratification vote will be announced after the balloting window has closed.

The state-wide pre-retirement workshops will take place on August 29th and August 31st, both of which will take place from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. As usual, if you have any questions, please submit them to retirement coordinator Walter Apple by August 25th.

Contract Negotiation Meeting Next Week
Next Wednesday, July 19th at 10:00 A.M. in Warner Hall room 108, UUP will be having its contract negotiation meeting to discuss the tentative contract that UUP has been fighting for. If you have any questions, please come with them.

New Agreement Reached
If you couldn’t attend any of the virtual student debt clinics throughout the schoolyear, there are some coming up during the summer. You can register for the clinics here.
The next virtual debt clinic will be on June 7th at 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
The following clinic will take place on June 21st at 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.
After that, there will be another clinic on July 5th from 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
