During our academic year our membership participated in many events on campus and in the Morrisville community.

Kicking off in September 2016, we hosted a tailgate party at the home football game, for all UUP Members and their families. A little overcast and some rain, good turnout and fun.

October 2016, as every month, we had our UUP Membership Coffee and we also host an UUP Luncheon for our members every other month.

November 2016 was a busy month for our UUP Members. CAP volunteered members to help with the Lions Club Chicken and Biscuit Dinner during voting. Good turnout. The members also were involved in serving at the Veteran’ s Dinner. Held for all the Veteran’s that served our country in the Morrisville area. The Veteran’s appreciated what was done in their honor.

December 2016, we continued to see our UUP Members at work. Our members volunteered at the annual “Visit with Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus” which is sponsored by Campus Community Committee. They all enjoyed the 200 children that attended. December 16, 2016 our campus Holiday Party, we asked for donations for the Morrisville Community Food Bank. We received 115 non-perishable food items and $152.00 in cash contributions. Our UUP President Steve Hinkle, representing our Morrisville UUP Chapter, presented the cash and food items to the food bank. It was well accepted and made area families holiday a little brighter. On our Norwich campus volunteers from UUP Morrisville, helped gift wrap over 200 presents for people in the community.

January the campus was pretty quiet with students on vacation.

February we hosted our UUP Luncheon and Coffee for our members.

March we had eight UUP Members and 28 students attend the Tech Sector Day in Albany, NY. There was training for Professional Evaluation Review Committee.

April CAP participated in the annual children’s Easter egg hunt, hosted by Campus Community Committee. Some of our Executive Board members also attended a NYSUT RA. Steve and Jeri attended an AFT Conference.

May was the end of our academic year. We held our UUP Executive Board Meeting retreat. We would like to congratulate Stephanie Lawhorne for her appointment to Vice President for Professionals. Stephanie is replacing Jeri O’Bryan-Losee who was elected for Secretary/Treasurer Statewide. Congratulations Jeri..
