Through the endorsement of Barnes & Noble.com by NYSUT Member Benefits Trust, UUP bargaining unit members can receive a discount when purchasing eligible products through a Barnes & Noble.com customized online bookstore.

Eligible products include books; new and used textbooks; DVDs and videos; music; gifts, games and toys; prints and posters; and items from B&N.com’s sale annex. Prices on B&N.com are discounted up to 40 percent. NYSUT members are eligible to receive an additional 5 percent discount on these already discounted prices.

In order to receive the 5 percent Member Benefits discount, members need to visit the Member Benefits Web site at www.memberbenefits.nysut.org. Click on the Discounts & Travel tab, click on Barnes & Noble.com Online Bookstore, and click on the attached link. By accessing the site in this manner, members reach the Member Benefits/Barnes & Noble.com custom online bookstore. From there, members should select their merchandise and add it to their shopping carts. The special discounted price will appear in the cart.

Otherwise, the bookmark will not link to the proper online page and members will not receive the special discount.
