UUP President Fred Kowal will\u00a0be a guest Monday, Dec. 9,\u00a0on \u201cThe Capitol Pressroom,\u201d the daily one-hour public affairs program based at the state Capitol that airs on public radio stations statewide.<\/p>\n

The program begins at 11 a.m.\u00a0Fred\u00a0and NYSUT Vice President Maria Neira are scheduled\u00a0to speak live between 11:20 and 11:40a.m. You can hear the program via a live stream at http:\/\/www.wcny.org\/radio\/capitolpressroom<\/a>. That link will be available today via UUP\u2019s website, at http:\/\/www.uupinfo.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fred and\u00a0Maria will\u00a0discuss the “National Day of Action to Reclaim the Promise of Public Education,” a coordinated public action by community and union partners in cities across the country to demand a greater investment in public schools and higher education.<\/p>\n

The live interview with Fred and Maria takes place prior to a noon news conference at the Capitol, where both will speak. UUP leaders in Binghamton, Buffalo and Syracuse will also take part in National Day of Action press conferences.<\/p>\n
