{"id":1502,"date":"2021-05-18T15:00:48","date_gmt":"2021-05-18T15:00:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/uuphost.org\/purchase\/?p=1502"},"modified":"2021-05-18T15:00:48","modified_gmt":"2021-05-18T15:00:48","slug":"uup-to-get-negotiated-2020-2021-raises","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uuphost.org\/purchase\/uup-to-get-negotiated-2020-2021-raises\/","title":{"rendered":"UUP to get negotiated 2020, 2021 raises"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/uupinfo.org\/images\/uupdate\/21\/210517.jpg\" alt=\"uupdate 05-17-21\" title=\"UUP to get negotiated 2020, 2021 raises\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>At last, UUP knows when the long-delayed 2020 and 2021 raises due to UUP bargaining unit members will be paid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The state issued details May 15 about the delayed raises, and the dates that the delayed 2020 raises and the 2021 raises will be paid are listed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The raises were negotiated by UUP and are guaranteed as part of the 2016-2022 contract between UUP and the state, but were delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic, when New York faced a double-digit budget deficit with no certainty of when or if additional federal pandemic relief would be provided to states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The payment schedule is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Those due 2020 raises will receive that increase and retroactive payments in paychecks dated&nbsp;<strong>Aug. 4th.<\/strong><\/li><li>Raises due for 2021 will be paid as scheduled:&nbsp;<strong>12-month employees<\/strong>&nbsp;whose increases are effective in July will see the 2021 increase in paychecks dated&nbsp;<strong>Aug. 18th<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>10-month\/academic year employees<\/strong>&nbsp;whose increases are effective in September will see the 2021 increase in checks dated&nbsp;<strong>Sept. 15th or Sept. 29th<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Adjunct faculty will see the 2021 increase in their first check after returning to obligation.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please contact UUP at 800-342-4206 or comment@uupmail.org with questions about the raises.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At last, UUP knows when the long-delayed 2020 and 2021 raises due to UUP bargaining unit members will be paid.
