{"id":1469,"date":"2019-01-07T09:53:01","date_gmt":"2019-01-07T14:53:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/uuphost.org\/cortland\/?p=1469"},"modified":"2019-01-07T09:55:59","modified_gmt":"2019-01-07T14:55:59","slug":"uup-2019-legislative-agenda-webinar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uuphost.org\/cortland\/?p=1469","title":{"rendered":"UUP 2019 Legislative Agenda Webinar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Dear Colleagues, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">The 2019 New York State Legislative Session is right around the corner, and we have already begun preparations here at UUP.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">In order for our advocacy efforts to be most effective, we want to engage all members across the state and encourage their involvement.\u00a0To that end, a webinar is scheduled for Jan. 14 at 12 p.m. to discuss our 2019 legislative priorities.\u00a0During this webinar, I will be giving a brief overview of each topic and sharing tips on how to speak about these topics with state senators and assemblymembers.\u00a0There will also be time for questions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Your participation matters. The greater our numbers, the stronger our voice will be when it comes time to advocate. To assist in getting this information to as many members as possible, you will find attached a small handout (4 per page) that can be used to advertise the event through one-to-one conversations, via your member organizers, or at chapter meetings. We\u2019ve also created an image that can be distributed via email or social media.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Members can sign-up for the webinar by Thursday, Jan. 10 by visiting <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/uuphost.org\/myuup\/Registration\/ADVOCACY\/WebinarRegForm.php\">https:\/\/uuphost.org\/myuup\/Registration\/ADVOCACY\/WebinarRegForm.php<\/a><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">.
