We are very concerned about the future impact of federal policy actions on our premiums and the upcoming rate increases.&nbsp; This underscores the importance of all members engaging in our upcoming efforts to press the State for a fair contract.&nbsp;&nbsp; UUP ONLY NEGOTIATES for the Empire Plan.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those that wish to continue or move to the Empire Plan, the following is a breakdown of the NYSHIP rates for the upcoming year for the&nbsp;<strong>Empire Plan<\/strong>:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Anyone on Empire Plan\u00a0making\u00a0<strong>$52,412 or less<\/strong>\u00a0on individual coverage\u00a0will be going from $60.23 to\u00a0<strong>$65.99<\/strong>\u00a0per paycheck.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anyone on Empire Plan\u00a0making\u00a0<strong>$52,412 or less<\/strong>\u00a0on family coverage\u00a0will be going from $272.67 to\u00a0<strong>$298.75<\/strong>\u00a0per paycheck.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anyone on Empire Plan making\u00a0<strong>$52,413 or more<\/strong>\u00a0on individual coverage\u00a0will be going from $80.31 to\u00a0<strong>$87.99<\/strong>\u00a0per paycheck.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anyone on Empire Plan making\u00a0<strong>$52,413 or more<\/strong>\u00a0on family coverage\u00a0will be going from $324.22 to\u00a0<strong>$355.24<\/strong>\u00a0per paycheck.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For those looking to compare the Empire plan with Independent Health and with Highmark you can do so through the&nbsp;NYSHIP&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cs.ny.gov%2Femployee-benefits%2Fnyship%2Fshared%2Fapps%2Fplan-comparison%2F&amp;data=05%7C02%7Cbuffalocenter%40uupmail.org%7C3b680b077da7459beee908de30ea7a1f%7Ca959c0a16a934834b8ec8087d07cc0e6%7C0%7C0%7C639001980804441061%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=yZDbCd4keNq52b9WuqNghaqxToFnMFxOsWlLDIz3vVs%3D&amp;reserved=0\">Plan Comparison Tool<\/a><\/strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp; This tool will help you select which health insurance will best meet your needs.&nbsp;&nbsp; You can also view the rates on the attached pamphlet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For anyone who wishes to change their health insurance selection, the option transfer period concludes on 12\/31\/25.
