{"id":7555,"date":"2025-07-30T12:41:07","date_gmt":"2025-07-30T16:41:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uuphost.org\/buffalo\/?p=7555"},"modified":"2025-08-01T10:35:56","modified_gmt":"2025-08-01T14:35:56","slug":"raises-bonuses-and-more-are-coming-tomorrow-the-contract-that-keeps-on-giving","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uuphost.org\/buffalo\/2025\/07\/30\/raises-bonuses-and-more-are-coming-tomorrow-the-contract-that-keeps-on-giving\/","title":{"rendered":"Raises, Bonuses, and More Are Coming Tomorrow &#8211; The Contract That Keeps on Giving"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dear UUP Members,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tomorrow\u2019s July 30 paycheck will look a little brighter for many of you and it\u2019s all thanks to the power of union solidarity.<br><br>Under the hard-fought 2022\u20132026 UUP contract, many of our members will receive:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>A 3% across-the-board raise<\/strong>\u00a0(effective July 3 and appearing in the July 30 paycheck for 12-month employees; 10-month employees will see it on September 24).<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The second half of the $3,000 retention bonus<\/strong>\u2014a $1,500 lump sum (not added to base, pro-rated for part-timers), for those who qualified under the contract\u2019s criteria.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>An $800 longevity increase to base pay<\/strong>\u00a0for those who have completed 12 years of service on the same campus. This is in addition to the $1,000 increase provided at 7 years or at tenure\/permanency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Adjunct Faculty\u2014Take Note:<br><br><\/strong>This fall also brings long-overdue progress in compensation for our part-time faculty. UUP has successfully raised per-course minimums across the board. At Buffalo Center, that means adjuncts teaching 4-credit courses will now receive a minimum rate that reflects the increase, proportionally adjusted from the 3-credit baseline.<br><br>These improvements didn\u2019t just happen, they were negotiated and won by your union, with your support.<br><br>This is your union at work: securing real gains in compensation, improving working conditions, and defending the dignity of every UUP member across the SUNY system.<br><br>We\u2019re now preparing for the next round of negotiations-and your voice matters more than ever.
