Please see the following from UUP Statewide Vice President for Academics, Alissa Karl:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear fellow UUP academics,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given the strong response to our recent Academic Freedom and UUP workshops, we\u2019ll be offering two more sessions on January 15, 2025. <\/strong>In this virtual workshop, we\u2019ll discuss the current national environment for Academic Freedom, relevant case law on the topic, and the specific protections that UUP academics are afforded under our contract. The sessions will be presented by myself and NYSUT Staff Director for UUP Jeremy Ginsburg. All UUP members are welcome to attend, though the session will be dedicated to Academic Freedom as it applies to UUP academic employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sessions will be held from 12-1.30pm and 3.30-5pm; click here<\/strong><\/a> to register.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
