Dear Colleagues,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Governor had announced an investment into overhauling mental health care in New York State to the tune of investing $1 billion in a multi-year plan. On the heels of this initiative, we would like to remind our members of the resources available to them to help balance work-life issues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are not alone at the university. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline:  Simply Dial 988<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UB has an excellent group of EAP counselors to assist you and your colleagues:  716-645-4461 or UB-eap@buffalo.edu<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those that feel they are being bullied, harassed at work, please take advantage of the Workplace Violence and Bullying Prevention Policy (https:\/\/www.buffalo.edu\/administrative-services\/policy1\/ub-policy-lib\/workplace-violence-prevention.html<\/a>) by emailing Chris Putrino, Director of Employee Relations at putrino@buffalo.edu<\/a>; and\/or Matt Kibler, your Labor Relations Specialist at matthew.kibler@nysut.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Policy outlines specific behaviors that constitute bullying and harassment.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can change the environment of fear by not being complacent, but by speaking out and letting our voices be heard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
