Dear Colleagues,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is not how our community needed to be brought into the national spotlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A beautiful and typical day at a neighborhood hub and gathering place. People going about their tasks, shopping for groceries. Then pure evil came into our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pain is immense and gut wrenching, as an attack on one of us is an attack on all of us. Our collective hearts are broken. We are a loving community, and we will wrap our arms around those who have lost loved ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To quote the Buffalo News Editorial Board: \u201cWe will know more in the days and weeks ahead, but for some, the weeks will be difficult, especially those who lost loved ones on Saturday. For them, family, friends, and counselors may provide solace and support. They will need it. Buffalonians know how to provide it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For others, what is important is patience as police and prosecutors work through the evidence and push for whatever kind of justice is available. Whatever that may be, it won\u2019t atone for what was done.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To say that our thought and prayers are with the victims\u2019 families and loved ones is not enough.
