Dear fellow UUP members,

You may be aware that the Graduate student workers at the University of Rochester have been striking for a union election. These graduate student workers have been organizing for some time, and after initially agreeing to hold an election, the UR administration withdrew from that agreement when the current Federal administration took office. UUP has been standing in solidarity with these graduate workers because we know that Higher Ed is better – for faculty, staff and students – with a union!

The U of R Graduate Labor Union is holding a day of action this Friday, May 16 to coincide with the U of R’s commencement. Can you join me at their rally in Rochester at 8am on Friday morning to help them win their union?
