{"id":6464,"date":"2024-02-07T14:36:08","date_gmt":"2024-02-07T19:36:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uuphost.org\/buffalo\/?p=6464"},"modified":"2024-02-07T14:36:10","modified_gmt":"2024-02-07T19:36:10","slug":"vacant-officer-positions-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/uuphost.org\/buffalo\/2024\/02\/07\/vacant-officer-positions-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Vacant Officer Positions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dear Colleagues,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your UUP Buffalo Center Chapter is in need of individuals interested to fill the positions of the Chapter\u2019s Officer for Contingents, and Outreach Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Members are asked to review the positions descriptions below, and consider becoming a Chapter Officer for one of these two vacant positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please contact me, <a href=\"mailto:khkern@buffalo.edu\">khkern@buffalo.edu<\/a>, if you are interested, wish to learn more about a position, or have any further questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<strong><u>Officer for Contingents&nbsp;(includes Contingent Standing Committee)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Officer for Contingents shall be responsible for monitoring the concerns of Contingent members, shall report to the Chapter, the Chapter Board, and the Chapter President, as appropriate, and shall make recommendations to the Chapter Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Responsible for the Contingent Concerns Committee (Standing Committee).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Works closely with the Membership Development and Vice Presidents on membership recruitment and engagement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Works closely with Grievance Officers and Labor Relations Specialist on member concerns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Outreach \u2013 Political Action\/Outreach\/VOTE Cope (includes standing committee)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Outreach Officer Is responsible for monitoring, developing, and communicating all political aspects of the Chapter, including political outreach, advocacy, and spearheading Chapter efforts with regards to VOTE-COPE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop, maintain, and communicate with members through the \u201cnon-edu\u201d list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Works closely with the Statewide Political Outreach and Advocacy programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In Solidarity,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ken Kern <br>Chapter President<br>UUP Buffalo Center<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Colleagues, Your UUP Buffalo Center Chapter is in need of individuals interested to fill the positions of the Chapter\u2019s Officer for Contingents, and Outreach Officer.
