{"id":4289,"date":"2021-12-01T10:45:21","date_gmt":"2021-12-01T15:45:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/uuphost.org\/buffalo\/?p=4289"},"modified":"2021-12-01T10:45:21","modified_gmt":"2021-12-01T15:45:21","slug":"uup-individual-development-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/uuphost.org\/buffalo\/2021\/12\/01\/uup-individual-development-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"UUP Individual Development Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dear Colleagues,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Governor\u2019s Office of Employee Relations (GOER) and United University Professions (UUP) has announced the&nbsp;<strong>availability of the&nbsp;Individual Development Awards&nbsp;(IDA)<\/strong>&nbsp;funding available under the UUP 2016-2022 Agreement.&nbsp;The purpose of the awards program is to assist eligible full-time and part-time employees in developing their full professional potential with an emphasis on preparing for advancement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications Due:1\/4\/2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The maximum award has been raised to&nbsp;<strong>$2,000<\/strong>&nbsp;and employees may now be funded for&nbsp;<strong>up to two projects or activities<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.buffalo.edu\/administrative-services\/announcements.host.html\/content\/shared\/www\/administrative-services\/news\/2021\/uup-indiv-award.detail.html\">view the announcement on the IDA website<\/a>&nbsp;to learn more about program eligibility and the application process.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is additional information sent by HR:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;IDA Program Details:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Funds are allocated for activity between for activity between&nbsp;<strong>July 2, 2021&nbsp;and July 1, 2022<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>Application Due Date:&nbsp;<\/strong>1\/4\/2022<\/li><li><strong>Award Amount:<\/strong>&nbsp;For the 21-22 award period, maximum award has been raised to&nbsp;<strong>$2,000.&nbsp;<\/strong>Employees may now be funded for&nbsp;<strong>up to two projects or activities&nbsp;<\/strong>for the 21-22 award period.&nbsp;(A separate application should be submitted for each award submission.)&nbsp;<strong>This is a reimbursement program.<\/strong><ul><li>Should an individual receive an award, it must be a direct payment to the award recipient and may no longer be processed through an Inter-Departmental Invoice (IDI)&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Types of support available:<ul><li>Registration fees for conferences or workshops<\/li><li>Travel and related expenses (includes lodging and meals)<\/li><li>Tuition at the maximum allowable SUNY rate at the time of application<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Application files submitted<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>must be named using the following naming convention \u2018lastname_firstname_IDA\u2019 and need to be submitted in the form of a single PDF file.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.buffalo.edu\/administrative-services\/announcements.host.html\/content\/shared\/www\/administrative-services\/news\/2021\/uup-indiv-award.detail.html\">view the announcement on our website<\/a>&nbsp;to learn more about program eligibility and the application process.
